since oscilloscope graphics are doing the rounds again, here's some photos from that time a few years ago when I built a gizmo to show dril tweets (and assorted other nonsense) on my ancient Tek 466

Just because it's a LLM / AI agent doesn't make it any different than any other program. If I fire up Metasploit and use it to hack a company, I can't say "Metasploit did the hacking, not me", so how is a defense of "the LLM did the hacking, not me" any better?

BREAKING: The UK equalities watchdog’s 'transphobic' code of practice is set to face a legal challenge, it has been announced A pre-action letter sent to the EHRC and the UK Government says the guidance is being challenged for 'unlawful misstatements of the law'

If a member of staff approaches you “I am not discussing private information in a bathroom. If there is an issue, please speak to me discreetly outside.” “I need safe toilet access. What private option can you provide?” “I am not answering questions about my body, medical history or legal status”

What a good day to remember that the future includes the continued existence of lots of trans people and does not include the continued existence of the Labour party or the British state

the mainstream press praising rod liddle in death are not unaware he was a bigoted pedophile, they like him for it. the people in their in-group, at the top of their hierarchy, getting away with crimes signals that the world is in order. it is a moral good, to them. the bigger the crimes the better

I have never seen a social platform so united as on the death of Rod Liddle. Right across the spectrum on here. Not even the standard self-righteous micro-bollockings in the replies. Imagine what kind of cunt you have to be to stem the high-handed whining on BLUESKY. Remarkable.

My feed being just a series of screenshots and links from across numerous facets of life Liddle spit venom at really does emphasise that he wrote the most heinous things possible, contributed nothing productive, sought only to increase violence, and that the world is better now he's not in it

Real Gaz on a proper bike: gazza_d@toot.bike@gazza-d.bsky.social · 2d ago

Rod Liddle wrote (amongst other disgusting stuff) in a national newspaper that he wanted to put up piano wire across roads at neck height to target people cycling. That probably added and encouraged others. That was enough to make me despise him. road.cc/content/news...

i'd say "pay attention to who has kind things to say about rod liddle, the racist pedophile, following his death" but to no surprise it is the entirety of the mainstream british press

After lengthy repair, the 172m Porto’s Dom Luís I Bridge reopened to public transport, taxis, cyclists & pedestrians only. After lengthy repair, #Edinburgh’s 160m North Bridge reopened with a lane of hatching, no cycling provisions, without widening busy pavements and no traffic reduction measures.

Dom Luís I Bridge is a double-deck metal arch bridge that spans the river Douro between the cities of Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia in Portugal.

On 27 June 2003, the upper deck was closed to motor traffic in order to adapt the structure for the metro system. The new "D Line" was inaugurated on 18 September 2005, and opened to the metro trams and pedestrian traffic.

The lower deck remained open to general traffic until October 2021, when it closed temporarily to all traffic for the start of repairs and renovation work predicted to last about one year. When it reopened, in April 2023, the lower deck was restricted to public transport, taxis, cyclists and pedestrians.Photo shows North Bridge, four lanes for vehicles (x2 bus lanes, x2 vehicle area) and a fifth for hatching - space that could have been used for wider pavements.

North Bridge is a bridge in Edinburgh linking the High Street with Princes Street, and the Old Town with the New Town. The current bridge was built between 1894 and 1897.

Argentinierstraße is really impressive to see in person. A street running straight from Vienna city centre to the Hauptbahnhof, it had 6,000+ bikes a day on a slim cycle lane. Such was the importance as a N-S cycle route, the city made it a cycle priority street, largely rerouting cars elsewhere.

Looking south along Argentinastrasse in central Vienna in December 2024, close to Karlskirche. The whole street is now a "cycle street", with red surfacing and bike decals denoting priority to bikes. Changes to the nearby road network have rerouted most vehicle traffic elsewhere, keeping it calm enough for cycle priority. Space has been reclaimed for wider pavements, bike parking and lots of new planting and street trees.

Vienna's Argentinierstraße is a great example of how Dutch cycling principles can be thoughtfully adapted to a different local context. Rather than simply copying a design, the project translated the concept of a cycling street into a solution that works within Austrian regulations: buff.ly/wmHsJnf

Yes, this is 100% about censorship in general, and the current anti-sexual weirdness that’s going on. But a paragraph near the end of the article is especially telling… ASMR is primarily created by women. Women doing anything will always be perceived by some as inherently sexual (excerpt in comms)

a bunch of popular ASMR artists lost their channels forever this week, after YouTube cited them for violating terms against "sexually gratifying" content: www.404media.co/youtube-asmr...

Man, must be gutting for all global dictators to discover that they could’ve simply silenced any criticism of their practices from Amnesty International by simply threatening them with a SLAPP suit via Twitter.

Amnesty International has now issued a public groveling apology to JK Rowling's organization and has pulled her another report documenting the anti rights platform of gender critical organizations. www.amnesty.org.uk/latest/an-ap...

"In particular, we apologise to Beira’s Place and other groups, which we categorised as gender critical organisations, which we should not have collectively labelled as anti-rights" And just like that Amnesty has completely conceded to and legitimised the gender critical movement. Useless idiots.

Amnesty have issued an apology to JK Rowling and the rest. Adjust your expectations, and donations, accordingly www.amnesty.org.uk/latest/an-ap...
