Medical professionals have a long history of neglecting us to death at our most vulnerable moments, whether it's laying on the pavement after a car accident or ending up in the hospital after an ambulance ride. I don't want to think about how many trans women they've killed, it is certainly a lot

If they will do this to a trans woman with the most urgent, life threatening but treatable cancer, how can any trans person trust it won't happen to us for something less urgent? Theres a lot of delusional optimism that they'll "find a solution". But they didn't for Joelle and now she's dead.

it really needs to be more openly discussed that all the people advocating for “we should be fine with losing basic skills if we get more systems thinking” are men, meaning socialized to expect to be able to offload basic tasks of daily living onto a wife as part of their compensation for existing

So the message of this research out of China, where you were seeing a lot of kids using A.I. to help them, was that when they were using the A.I., they were getting things done faster. But it turned out that the skills they were learning were not holding, that their actual personal performance, at least in the way we traditionally measure it, was degrading. What do you think when you hear that? The last part — I completely agree. Try to get a kid to do long division right now. The multiplication table is starting to be forgotten. Doing square roots, my goodness. Basic math is being forgotten. Does it matter? That’s my question for you. Yeah. I don’t think it does. I don’t think it does. But there must be some set of skills that matter. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. But maybe not those. We’re going to discover new ones. Just maybe not those. There are a lot of skills that don’t matter. My first confession, I actually don’t know my address.

Nye tall viser firedobling i selvmord blant trans-ungdom som har blitt nektet behandling i Storbritannia etter behandlingstilbudet ble strupet for 4-5 år siden. Jeg er skikkelig bekymret over at en del norske leger og beslutningstakere fortsatt ser til Storbritannia på dette feltet.

God læsning! Jeg lærte fx, at Knut Hamsun overrakte sin Nobelpris i litteratur til, af alle mennesker, Josef Goebbels. Den slags gamle anekdoter kan pludseligt føles underligt aktuelle. Nå ja, og det gjorde altså ikke Goebbels til en Nobelpristager i litteratur.

Jeg har hatt ADHD hele livet. Det har aldri vært noen hemmelighet eller overraskelse. Grunnen til at det gikk bra var fordi jeg er smart som faen og kommer fra en ressurssterk familie og er en fuckings delight så folk er greie selv om jeg ikke alltid fortjente det. Mange av mine med-bokstavbarn døde

Når jeg holder foredrag om konspirasjonstenkning, pleier jeg å vise eksempler på hvordan det tar ca fem minutter fra noe skjer til transfolk får skylda. Transfolk er faktisk i ferd med å utfordre jødene som standard-syndebukkene for skrotinger. Nå er dette mainstream. Sandelien er Høyre-politiker.
