Lisa/Liz 3d character artist @ Naughty Dog Game-hoarding dragon Make art not content ✨

both Dragon Age and Mass Effect were series that got me back into gaming after almost 7 year hiatus. They were imperfect games, and I loved them for it not in spite of it. I will mourn the loss of Bioware with all my heart today.

this “people are stealing other people game ideas to vibecode them” situation is disgusting but also confusing: aren’t ai-bros were the ones screaming that they finally can make their great ideas a reality with ai… why would you need other people’s ideas then? 🤔

Consolidation is killing our industry. The Gamergaters who make money off the rage game will have you think this is a victory. This is purely a loss. A loss of work and art and fun and expression in a space that desperately needs it. Massive fucking bummer.

For more than 30 years, BioWare has been more than a studio. It has been a home for storytellers, developers, an the players who brought our worlds to life.
Baldur's Gate. Neverwinter Nights.
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic.
Dragon Age. Mass Effect. Anthem.
Now, after more than three decades of shared adventures, BioWare is closing and early development on the next Mass Effect project is ending.
There is nothing easy about writing those words. Our focu right now is on our incredibly talented team who put thei hearts into these games, and supporting one another through this transition.
What generations of BioWare built together is something t celebrate and remember. These games became so much mor because you played them, debated your choices, fell in love with the characters, and made these worlds your own.

had so much fun playing Cyberpunk TCG at home this weekend, decided to go to game store to play with other people. The first guy I played against immediately started to talk about “meta” and “card prices”… and I remembered why I dropped MTG T_T

noclip is one of the reasons I keep my faith in this industry. The passion for games as a medium, for the craft of creating one, for the preservation of our history. They are doing genuinely good work and if you can support them, you should <3 Happy 10th!

/ten years. /over 200 documentaries. /all powered by our community. Summarizing a decade seemed like a daunting task so we asked our community to sum it all up. September 12th is the big day. We'll tell you all about our plans for the next decade then. The mission continues. youtu.be/EY-HmdHrUN8

for all the people who recently followed me expecting art: I’m sorry, guys. Here are photos of my cats, random craft projects, screaming about game development (politely), and random topic I’m obsessed with this week. ✨
