I work at a public library. People who want to use AI seem to have no trouble doing so. People who don't want to use AI have a harder time. I crowdsourced and then finalized this document "How to disable or avoid intrusive AI" and then gave it a short URL: notoai.org Please pass along if it's useful

Fun tableware fact: I'm down to 1 (one) small flat plate while still having a complete set of 4 of all the other plates including saucers. I do use the small plates every day for dinner, but I also use the saucers every day to put biscuits on for afternoon coffee.

Starbucks done EFFED up in Korea. Bad. May 18th just passed, Democratic Movement Day, when rose up after the military dictatorship sent tanks to mass-murder citizens. Some inappropriately call it "Tank Day." Starbucks commemorated Tank Day with a sale on tank tumblers. It gets much worse...

A Starbucks add that says 5/18: Tank Day! Slam it on your desk! And features a selection of coffee tumblers.

Ja, Hasis, ich weiß selbst, dass der Begriff "KI" mehr umfasst als LLMs, aber in den Planungen für drölfzighundert Rechenzentren, die mehr Strom verbrauchen als Indien und die 500 Fantastilliarden kosten, bei den Prophezeiung um Arbeitsplätze und Kriegsführungen geht es praktisch immer nur um LLMs!

The handle of my hair brush broke off, and at first I did of course think that I needed to get a new brush immediately, but because the one I have is circular, it is actually quite easy to hold without a handle and I'm finding that I even prefer it that way.
