If AI-generated books were as good as human-written ones, as the boosters claim, they would be happy to train their models on AI-generated books. That they know that would ruin the models shows exactly that gen AI can't come up with anything new and just regurgitates slop.

I think people forget that in the 90s (at least where I grew up in the US) it was totally normal to hear that 'girls' couldn't have ADHD or autism, this was something only 'boys' experienced.
Sure is interesting how the moment a lot of women/girls/AFAB folks start being diagnosed with something, suddenly we get an upswing in 'it's overdiagnosed'/'it's not real'/'it's just a fad'.
