Not sure who needs to hear this, but "judicial review" is literally just the name you give a case when a person says the State has broken a law (any law, about anything) and they want a court to put a stop to it. A politician saying "I am against anyone taking a judicial review" is proto-fascist.

One thing I would add to @tupped.bsky.social’s excellent piece here on workplace CCTV is the need to consider the “bells and whistles” of the system. Is it recording audio as well? Have you accidentally bought facial recognition tools into the bargain?

The Minister has repeatedly stated that this Bill would provide gardaí with the power to compel a person to remove a face covering but after the completion of pre-legislative scrutiny and Dáil debate, and on the day of the final Seanad debate. The minister has published amendments to do this!
