The real question we should be asking about AI regulation is who benefits? Because right now it looks like it’s tech billionaires winning and not people & communities.
Every time we get a shock, the oil companies cash in. Remember that those companies are just intermediaries between us plebs and the richest 1% who pockets 50% of those profits. Credit to Isabella M Weber on the other place.

People are upset with Winston for his racist comments, but I have yet to hear the politicians protest at Winston for using the “R” word, a derogatory word to demean disabled, esp learning disabled. He used it to denigrate a colleague but it shows how arrogant it is to use that word & insult disabled
Don't be surprised if the rich gets re-elected and things get even worse for the rest of us.
