I was trying to convince a cis friend to read Woordworking by @emilystjams.bsky.social, and I ended up spending 20 minutes explaining trans moms and heterotemporality.

I'd go back to 2004 when I was 13. I told my therapist I wanted to be a girl, but I quickly reeled it back in because I was worried that she would tell my mom and my mom wouldn't love me anymore. I would tell my younger self that my mom still loves me and how much happier I could be.
