Packed bike parking at 50th and France Lunds. Majority are probably kid's bikes. A good reminder that when we build quality bike infrastructure we are improving youth autonomy!
The Amsterdam we see now didn't spawn into existence out of nowhere. It was built over five decades through the fierce advocacy of parents and residents who wanted a brighter future. We aren't Amsterdam, but after a few decades of work we certainly could be a city which has a similar success story!

This is a trick question. There's no budgetary rules, threshold of public opinion, or official act of any governing body that can keep police from exceeding their budgets by tens of millions of dollars.

Remember that this smoke is climate change visualized. If we want a smoke free future we have to combat it in every arena: transportation, infrastructure, housing, waste management, energy use, etc. It also means, combating doomerism, we can take action for a better future! No battle is too small!

A desperate attempt at a show trial pursued by dumb, vicious prosecutors performing for an audience of one. An attempt to discourage and scare people from fighting back. It's not going to work.

Every park in Minneapolis should have at minimum 5-10 bike parking spaces. I tried to get my local park (MLK) to add more bike parking near the playground. After 2 years of emails that went nowhere I finally offered them a rack I found free on FB Marketplace. They picked it up and it's in use.

We spent the winter defending our way of life and in a single June weekend — with pencil sharpening, Grand Old Day, Tour de Luce, Open Streets, Twins, Lynx, Saints, etc — we are living it.
I encourage everyone to get plenty of use out of this public patio on cedar lake. It's quite a trek but worth it.

Some customers think only about parking; others crave great sidewalks & diverse streetscapes. You have to market your strengths. Some businesses will certainly thrive, but there are winners and lowers with ANY street design. Walkable, vibrant streets are a Twin Cities RARITY. Suburbs could never.
