She / Her How does an a$$hole like Bob get such a great kitchen?

Tim Curry and Dolly Parton have taught us not only that you should be bigger, weirder, gayer, and freakier, but also that those qualities are what people will love about you. The things that make you strange and amazing are the things that will resonate with other strange and amazing people

Dolly Parton rose from poverty to stardom. She gave $500 to every student in her hometown who finished high school; she built hospitals & bald eagle preserves; her Imagination Library has gifted 300 million books to children. Roger Ebert met her and came away thinking she was a literal angel. RIP.

“In Dallas for the premier of '9 to 5', I had an uncanny experience, and on the plane home to Chicago I confessed it to Siskel: I had been granted a private half hour with Dolly Parton, and as we spoke I was filled with a strange ethereal grace. This was not spiritual, nor was it sexual. It was healing and comforting. Gene listened and said, "Roger, I felt the exact same thing during my interview with her." We looked at each other. What did this mean? Neither one of us ever felt that feeling again. From time to time we would refer to it in wonder.”

Sometimes, when someone dies, what helps me is thinking about how wonderful it is that they were even alive in the first place. Dolly was the closest you could get to an American saint. We all loved her.

Dolly Parton, among a thousand other amazing things she did in her life, gifted over 330 million books to kids through her Imagination Library program. Her passing is a tremendous loss to the world, but you can support the program today to keep it going imaginationlibrary.com

BREAKING: After the Washington Post fired me last year for speaking the truth in the wake of the Charlie Kirk killing, I fought back. And I'm happy to announce: I won my case against the Washington Post. They have been ordered to reinstate me immediately. www.nytimes.com/2026/08/24/b...

Washington Post Ordered to Rehire Fired Columnist Karen Attiah

An arbitrator ordered the newspaper to reinstate Karen Attiah, who was fired after posting about “white men who espouse hatred and violence” following Charlie Kirk’s killing.

🚨🚨🚨 I just found out some HOT goss about my family. My grandma hid old newspaper clippings about a relative and ensured they'd be found in the future by taping them to the back of recipes in her recipe box. 🚨🚨🚨 Y'all, check those old recipe boxes. 👀

LOVE seeing COYOTE VS. ACME sell-out early access screenings. This is the most important movie of the year because a corporation didn’t want you to see it. Go today. Go Friday. Go this weekend. Go see what they tried to take from you.

Look, do you want to be an absolute hero? Because if you live near New York, here's an opportunity. I know kittens are adorable, but adult cats who get along and know how to behave have a lot to recommend them.

UPDATE: Yes, their owner passed away Thursday. We're taking them in today, but as I said, that CAN'T be permanent; they NEED a HOME NOW. We're willing to drive pretty much anywhere in the Northeast for the right adopter. We're begging.
