Whole bunch of "vote blue no matter who" titfuckers suddenly crying and saying they won't vote blue no matter who. Almost like they never actually believed that. They just wanted people to vote for the candidates they wanted and wanted to punish anyone who didn't. Fucking cultists.

It's absolutely wild that these losers can't imagine living without AI when they were doing exactly that two years ago. And as someone who has never used an LLM in any capacity for any aspect of my job and never will, I think I'll manage just fine actually. They literally aren't useful to me.

My answer is LOL ROFL (dickbrain) The terminally AI-pilled can't even *imagine* some people have *never* asked stochastic parrots to cheat at their job for them.

All the people who are anti-Al or want to
slow Al progress, I have one question:
If Al disappeared tomorrow, could you
still get through an entire workday
without ChatGPT, Claude, or any other
 Al tool?

Imagine Al was suddenly banned.
Would you actually be willing to give it
 up?

Today's reminder that the current genAI boom is powered by GPUs manufactured with the mineral coltan (and other rare earths, and cobalt) mined through the labor of enslaved children in Congo, and the US and UAE fund the paramilitaries which protect those mines and keep those children enslaved.

As someone who grew up not playing or watching sports aside from a bit of baseball here and there the bigotry against trans people in sports (along with a healthy dose of Ted Lasso) might actually push me to make trans people playing sports my life's work.

the lease on my shitty studio that abby and i have been staying in is up and we're having to pay month to month for one month until the new place we applied to comes up. i'm trying to make it through this month and get a deposit of like 700 together for this new place, anything helps.

my partner was fired last year for refusing to put up with transphobic harassment at work and hasn't been able to find work since. help us both out if you want. these are my venmo and PayPal because she isn't really online

Yet another example of a marginalized person removed from this platform for literally no good reason, while bigotry of every single form is allowed to run rampant.

Anybody at @moderation.bsky.app want to try to explain why they suspended @matthewcort.land, ANOTHER of the most prominent people out here fighting for disabled and marginalized people? Like… are y'all planning to suspend/ban literally every disabled legal scholar/policy worker out here, orrrr…?

While it certainly wasn't the only factor, collective covid measures followed by a summer of major uprisings are a reminder of how terrified the gentry are of people realizing they can act and work together. They're pushing hard to erase the memory of that entire time period for a reason.

Covid lockdowns demonstrated, in a deeply imperfect way, the possibility of large-scale social solidarity for a higher cause. That is a prime reason why so many powerful people want us to run screaming away from them into the comforting arms of selfish individualist competition.

it can never be overstated how much hate i have in my heart for the class of people who got to stay home during covid who talk like this now about the pathetic, completely inadequate measures taken to protect those of us who had to actually work real jobs during that time

There are working class and vulnerable kids who will never have the life they should have had because of school closures. Let’s address that too, shall we?

These people are absolute fucking ghouls. Those kids are alive. Many of them wouldn't be without school closures. More of them would be alive if we'd actually taken COVID as seriously as we should have. Capitalism has done more to rob them of their futures than closing schools did.

Nice to be over 200 pounds on this again. Building back up slowly but feeling very good. Having to get my guts sewn back into my body in March and tearing my hamstring in May haven't slowed me down all that much to be honest.

We had a latina trans woman be a little harsh towards Obama in *2015* during pride month as she asked for him with urgency to release every queer immigrant held by ICE. The response makes sense looking back. People couldn't even handle that without kissing Obama's ass- and booing her. Christ sake.

Some of you really would watch my sisters, brothers and siblings be dragged away and then complain about the response to it over the oppressors.
