Beer isn't just for breakfast any more.

Bluesky oldheads will remember that brief period of time when the conservative trolls tried to storm the place and were flummoxed by the idea they would have to organically grow an audience and that someone who didn't want to talk to them could nuke every interaction they ever had from orbit

I'm a full Professor of Immunology and fully vaccinated. I didn't get vaccinated out of obedience, but after decades of studying the immune system and evaluating all evidence. Calling that "lack of critical thinking" is not an argument. It's ideology masked as pretend intellect.

It’s becoming an increasingly unavoidable conclusion that a portion of mostly establishment Democrat electeds/pundits/consultants don’t like Democratic voters much and would much prefer to have Republican voters instead, and view their voters’ insistence on being represented as an annoying betrayal.

EU folks interested in political stability and sovereignty are going to have to block US social media and media companies, because they are how the United States and other fascist nations wage hybrid warfare.

So basically an adversary could attack any blue state and Trump wont care because he doesn't see himself as the President of the "United States" Without a doubt the most worst president we've ever had. Anti-republic, anti-democratic, anti-constitutional just devoid of basic dignity

If you’re not an expert and your uninformed personal opinion disagrees with expert consensus on a technical topic: Please consider that “the experts who’ve spent years studying this know something I don’t” is far more likely than “I alone discovered something that all the world’s experts missed.”

The focus on Fauci was always designed to help the GOP and Trump avoid taking the blame from the human and economic impacts of the pandemic. Blame China. Blame the scientists. Blame anyone but the President of the U.S.

there's 5 main reasons they want you to think AI is now self-aware and "goes rogue" 1. product marketing misrepresentation 2. props up insane valuations for a sector not making money 3. scares lawmakers into trash legislation 4. distracts from technofascism 5. distances execs from accountability

Worth remembering that Talarico raised so much money he just gave some away to other Texas candidates and Mamdani raised so much money during the primary that he told people to donate to Adrienne Adams. People aren't giving up on Ds. They just don't like the DNC. The DNC should think about that!

can my comparative politics folks come up with any other example of the opposition party being $2m in debt when the incumbent government is ~20 points underwater on approval?

1. A short thread on the Trump / Kratsios "Golden Age of Science" report, the claim that scientific research has become less disruptive over time, and a paper about NIH's inadequate funding of novel science written by none other than the current director of the NIH, Jay Bhattacharya.
