Being able to connect preprints to the OA content in their references, is (just) one the really exciting things about using the new reader reader.openrxivlabs.org @curvenote.com @openrxiv.bsky.social

So hyped I even posted on LinkedIn to make sure people in my network who aren't active here know (1) this is so cool, (2) they can watch @row1.ca's keynote with @mattakamatsu.bsky.social on @stream.place which shows just how cool this is gonna get #AtScience #OpenScience #OpenResearch 🧪
Our first Curvenote Reader implementation is with our partners at @openrxiv.bsky.social bringing a connected reading experience to 500k bioRxiv preprints. Curvenote Reader keeps citations, figures, and references connected directly in the flow of reading. Learn more curvenote.com/news/openrxi...
Excited to launch the first openRxiv labs experiment: an interactive reading experience powered by @curvenote.com - this will evolve but you can get a taster of what's to come from the dynamic references & figure call-outs, in-line abbreviation expansions, etc. 1/2 reader.openrxivlabs.org
Thanks @byarielm.fyi. I am beyond excited, it is really opening up a tremendous amount of possibilities for science and #atscience as well. Really appreciate you helping get the word out. 🚀
We just launched a new reading experience with Curvenote in openRxiv Labs 🎉 First experiment from openRxiv Labs x @curvenote.com 👉 reader.openrxivlabs.org More openrxiv.org/news/labs-re...

It is always really exciting to see people just fixing and improving their manuscripts based on automated metadata feedback that @curvenote.com provides. @scipyconf.bsky.social is submitting their annual proceedings and it is always awesome to see them roll in..!!
Very excited that @curvenote.com is going to be the first experiments in openRxiv Labs. Can't wait to share more soon! 🔜🚀

Excited to see this one ship 🚀 Using existing xml (we've done a lot of work on edge cases) that is produced and maintained *everywhere*, to create a much better way to read a scientific article on the web -- transform & enrich ✨

i think this maybe deserves a blogpost. atproto is a protocol for publishing and aggregating JSON with links. “accidentally” this happens to be enough for many types for social apps
(I think many people struggle to understand atproto because start from the misconception that atproto is a social networking protocol. But atproto does not understand follows or likes or posts. It's a publishing and syndication protocol designed to make it easy to build social things on top of it.)
my favourite PR typo of last week was `wockets` instead of websockets but..... `wockets` just sounds better anyways 💡 #keepyourprsrealincludetypos
Still room for tonight's event! See you there!
Our next event is 15 April! We're doing our first-ever hacknight, idea is to self-organise small groups to collaboratively build on ATProto. Would love for you to join us! luma.com/x7ibrdx4
built a thing at-tracker.opensci.dev - I wanted a way to do discovery on the #atproto network which was bottom up, and also was experimenting with building an indexer. Already found new cool things I didn't know about otherwise 😍

Because no one asked: heerich.js now has per-voxel scale transforms scale: [1, 0.5, 1] — or (x, y, z) => [...] position becomes shape been playing with shaders lately, so this felt natural: scale + scaleOrigin now accept functions no-where near shader speed though :D Part of 0.3.0
mini-clis for prototyping 🤘. This is a little sandbox cli for pushing standard.site records into my PDS, in my case with `oxa` as content, worked out great, busy fitting some of this back into our main cli just now, but neat on its own :D
Excited to talk about modular science, Open Exchange Architecture, @curvenote.com and @continuous.foundation tomorrow. Will be a fun day learning all that is going on in this space. 🚀🚀
We're very honored to have @row1.ca & @matsulab.com as keynote speakers at #ATScience! Rowan & Matt will share their vision "Towards Modular Open Science" on moving beyond isolated papers toward a world of modular & interoperable research objects, leveraging #atproto as a decentralized backbone 🧪✨
Just made my first post from @curvenote.com to my PDS using the AT Proto variant of OXA 🚀🚀🚀. was still working on this when @row1.ca was giving his #ATScience talk yesterday. More about OXA and links to the PDS record in my post. opensci.dev/articles/hel...
