Poets! Would you please share any poems of comfort that may be read at graveside? Was just asked to read something in a few hours for my dearest great uncle. Thank you. 🙏

Love @vastchasmmag.bsky.social and their championing of writers. It was a true pleasure working on edits with the @vastchasmmag.bsky.social team for “LOLZ.” So touched they shared another one of my dear poems from the wonderful @acropolisjournal.bsky.social.

We’re sure you remember @pamyve.bsky.social's “LOLZ” from our last issue. Her “Seahorses, or, How I Am Trying to Hold On” is another one that sticks with you @acropolisjournal.bsky.social acropolisjournaluk.wixsite.com/archive2022/...

THE GREAT PUMPKIN PANCAKE PARTY is out in the world! This book is about food and family, and the traditions that help us become who we are. Thank you to everyone who has preordered, requested it from the library, shared it, reviewed it, or cheered it on. It means more than I can say.

A copy of The Great Pumpkin Pancake Party by Celeste Pewter, illustrated by Kelly Wu, sits on an outdoor metal table at sunset. The cover shows a young girl and an older man sharing a towering stack of pumpkin pancakes, surrounded by pumpkins, lanterns, bunting, chopsticks, and cozy autumn decorations. The warm golden light gives the book a soft release-day glow.

New week, so I feel like we're exiting birthday season but hey why not post one more time just in case the universe wants to thrust some kismet upon my book. No, my book does not include any lines like "thrust some kismet" in it.

I'm not a big "hey it's my birthday season" kind of guy, but if some brave lit agent wants to take a shot on my basketball dad novel, I'm not above saying "well hey that'd be a fine gift right about now," is alls I'm saying.

This is another big week for our public libraries in NYC as the public has a chance to weigh in on funding at the City Council budget hearing on Wednesday 6/10. Everything you need to know to testify is here: bit.ly/June10Testify - the libraries have a shortfall and they need you to advocate.

I keep thinking about this line "There are memories that remain across generations like single-use plastic” from @readinstead.bsky.social ’s new poem in @variantlit.bsky.social . And I think that is precisely the point. Read Jared’s thought-provoking piece below:

What do you need right now? Maybe you need my odd new poem about Jane Goodall’s Hologram in @variantlit.bsky.social's new Summer Issue... variantlit.com/jane-goodall/

Jane Goodall’s Hologram standing with hands clasped in front of her...probably not apologizing for late stage capitalism, but you never know...

Darlings! My new poem, "When Death Comes, Look to The Tower," is out at @smallwondersmag.com!! It's for anyone who needs a reminder of their own strength -- that you have all the power within yourself, that you tell your own story. smallwondersmag.com/piece/when-d...
