Staff sausage. I talk about Detroit too much. I hope that you have a nice day. And that we all don't die. But mostly the other thing.

Right? Things can be horrible in different ways and that can have different implications and require different things to deal with. Like, sometimes the distinctions are actually both legally and morally important, resist the urge to flatten everything into "bad thing" and every crisis to omni-crisis

i’ve seen this take a lot today but i really don’t understand the point of it. obviously there are material differences between this situation and police murders, which makes this type of argument just feel like semantics.

What Derek Chauvin did to George Floyd was a public extrajudicial execution. Keep that in mind when you say we haven't had a public execution since 1936.
We have, actually. Many times. They're called police murders.

I did not expect the landing page to be a picture of a child face down (unsure if alive) on a frozen lake and a suggested prompt of “how can I invest in my child’s future”. This is higher level comedy than I am capable of on my own. This is incredible.

President Trump unveils America.gov, an AI-powered "plan that sits in the palm of your hand" to replace thousands of "terrible government websites."

This is correct, but the underlying assumption is that Cenk did even a "cursory reading" of history and didn't just hear the name "The Young Turks" associated with revolutionaries and thought it sounded cool. Cenk is, to his very core, a barely literate moron. This is not an excuse, but still.

Any cursory reading up on what the Young Turks actually were and what they actually did would make any reader appalled by their violence, evil and brutality. It is not a sort of history a decent person would associate with.

Really feel like the Left gave a huge shit about Abdul during the primary, and have now moved on to the newest big thing (wherever they get to punch moderate dems next), and that feels kinda shitty. Because he very well might lose this race. MI needs some hair on fire help, and I see nothing.

The correct Democratic position on every issue is “I will undo everything Donald Trump has done, I will destroy everything he has built, and I will impose consequences on him and everyone who helped him do it.” No negotiation. Rip it all down.

Book people are fucking weird about Dungeon Crawler Carl. "It is pandering to millenial nerds" No shit. It is not supposed to be some memoirists exploration of the themes of emotional openness through the lens of unhealed trauma. Just let shit be fun sometimes. People like Marvel movies too.

this has been a devastating week, but the one thing I keep coming back to is how the people we lost were empathetic, kind, creative, and generous and 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺𝘰𝘯𝘦 wishes they were still here, that there were more like them the world will be eager to be rid of cruel men. but kind souls can never die

OK, but every week this headline comes out and every week his approval is exactly the same 34%-38% approve. Look, it is great that undecided people are making a choice, but wake me up when his core base of 33%-36% erodes.
