This is shameful discriminatory and misogynistic reporting. People aren’t choosing disability to be “cool”. Young women don’t have to “prove” to you that they’re sick. Disability rates are skyrocketing because we’ve left a disabling virus rip through the population for over 6 years.

The insinuation that disabled women who post about their experiences are “entrenching a culture of economic activity” is ableism. They want to shame us into being silent about our suffering. Make noise. Let’s tell the Telegraph this disgusting article should be retracted

@unison.org.uk have changed their policy for their women's conference, which is only open to 'biological females' 🤮 Did I miss something? Did voting to support us mean nothing? Was this decision put to a vote? unison.org.uk/events/2027-...

"Transgender Members
Following the UK Supreme Court's decision in For Women Scotland Ltd v Scottish Ministers and the
subsequent Certification Officer decision in Flaherty v UNISON the union has reviewed the eligibility
requirements for positions reserved for women.
Members are advised that eligibility for seats reserved for women under the Equality Act 2010 is
determined by biological sex. For these purposes, "biological sex" means sex at birth and a
reserved women's seat is open only to members who are biologically female. This clarification is
intended to ensure that the union's election processes are conducted in accordance with current
legal requirements and applicable union rules."
