Food, man. Food is so much better than it was in 1986. All of it. Poor-people food, restaurant food, fresh food, frozen food. Food is just a hell of a lot better.

air travel is one of those experiences that has gotten monotonically worse over my entire lifetime

question though: has *anything* in the last 40+ years genuinely gotten *better*?

like, there's *more* stuff, sure, but is any of it *better*?

Its hard to explain to older gens (especially boomers) why we dont have homes, new cars or feel safe about retirement. You have to hand hold them and force prices in their face to make it click. Even then they tend To believe we arent working hard Enough.

Sunk cost fallacy- they've invested their lives and ours, through perpetuation of capitalist values, into an economic system for decades, refuse to admit they were wrong to believe a system built on oppression and exploitation is doing what it's set up to do.

Keep strong with your actual community. Organize outside of the ballot box. Put not your faith in politicians. Whoever wins here will continue the escalating attacks on our communities and rights, and we'll have to fight them accordingly. We keep us safe. There is no other option.
