Here's my takeaway for WA primaries: 1) We need Ranked Choice Voting. The jungle primary is the worst primary system. In a 2 party system it promotes fear based voting and greatly favors the incumbent....

The media's takeaway from an El-Sayed win is the same as it would have been from a Stevens win, and the same as it will be if El-Sayed wins the general, or if he loses it: everyone, no matter who they are, needs to take several steps to the right.

I think this shows polling is untrustworthy. I believe that the case for Stevens being “more electable” is … polling. This suggests to me that maybe we should back the candidate with a vision and fresh ideas who can win without corporate money against a PAC gorged candidate.

Was this wrong? “But that marginal lead was a far cry from what El-Sayed and his allies had expected. Public polling in the campaign’s closing stretch showed El-Sayed ahead of Stevens by double digits. And his campaign projected confidence they would deliver a decisive win”

I find myself burning with incandescent rage at the way all the civics and constitutional rules and laws I learned my whole life are actually just suggestions if the ppl in congress have a deficiency in courage "A gentleman's agreement only works if the ppl involved are gentlemen "

The In-N-Out Burger shooter comes from a family immersed in Trump propaganda. The shooter loved General Flynn, Elon Musk, and RFK Jr. He was pro-natalist and wanted to join ICE, but didn't have a college degree.

The shooter at the In-N-Out Burger in Twin Falls, Idaho that killed 3 people and injured 2 people is a Republican, white male. Shocked.

The GOP county exec in Tarrant Co (Fort Worth) often kicks people out for speaking up to protest county govt actions at public meetings. Today he shut it down amid outrage over the plan to cut nearly half of election day polling places this year (as he himself faces a heated race for county exec)

In TX: Tarrant County Judge Tim O'Hare just CLEARED the meeting room, kicking out public speakers who are opposed to the GOP plan to cut half of the battleground county's Election Day voting locations for November:

You can never just move on from this, even after he's gone. Without punishment and ostracism for everyone who has participated in his crime spree over the last 18 months you can forget it- we're all just treading water until the next tyrant

Incredibly disappointed in @wslc.bsky.social in this last minute endorsement of previously, and rightly, unendorsed MGP. MGP has been on the wrong side of almost every issue. April Sims full statement makes clear that our union leaders are still operating out of fear. That's how you lose.

This is how you know the matrix for "fight" doesn't run neatly along the left-centrist axis. Senatory Patty Murray @murray.senate.gov sold us out again. This "agreement" with Susan Collins helps Trump's election subversion and hurts @troyjackson207.bsky.social www.offmessage.net/p/senate-dem...

Senate Democrats Dodge Last Pre-Election Opportunity To Fight Trump

They won't take a big stand to protect the election, or resist Trump's broader lawlessness, before the midterms.
