CEO-to-worker pay ratio in 1965: 20-1 CEO-to-worker pay ratio in 1990: 75-1 CEO-to-worker pay ratio today: 325-to-1 Trickle-down economics was always a sham. Nothing has ever trickled down.

NEWS: Governor Kathy Huchol of NY appoints the state attorney general Leticia James special prosecutor in the Cornell rape case, effectively removing the local DA. Hochul cites “serious questions” about the Cornell PD’s initial investigation and the DA’s earlier decision not to prosecute.

STATEMENT FROM GOVERNOR KATHY HOCHUL ON CORNELL UNIVERSITY SEXUAL ASSAULT CASE
Newly released information continues to raise serious questions about the investigation conducted by the Cornell Police Department and the decision by the Tompkins County District Attorney not to prosecute an alleged sexual assault on Cornell University's campus in October 2024. This has, in turn, undercut my faith, and the public's faith, in the District Attorney's ability to effectively investigate and prosecute the case at this time.
For this reason, I have issued an executive order appointing Attorney General James as special prosecutor in this case.
As special prosecutor, the Attorney General will investigate this incident and, if warranted, prosecute any offenses arising from that investigation and present evidence to a grand jury.
The young woman at the center of this case deserves to know that every fact will be examined and justice pursued. This action will ensure that the matter is fully and thoroughly investigated without conflict or bias, and handled independently

Fox News releases two new polls. —Iowa: Josh Turek (D) up 49/47 for Senate. —Texas: James Talarico (D) up 51/49 for Senate. That's among likely voters. Strikingly (& against CW?), Dems lead by more among registered voters: Talarico +7, Turek +4.

guy who gerrymandered slc into four pizza slices, then packed the supreme court with unqualified loyalist shills & created A WHOLE ENTIRELY NEW COURT when they said it’s illegal AND tried multiple times to kill the entire ballot initiative process: “uwu we should step back from political hostility”

Utah Gov. Spencer Cox has emerged as a prominent voice calling on Americans to step back from the political hostility gripping the country. The Republican governor is expanding on that message in a new book. https://to.pbs.org/3VmTJnx

The more I read about the early Christian church the more hilariously apparent it becomes that none of them—the closest to Jesus and the apostles— believed anything most evangelicals believe about anything.

The funniest thing about the Schmitt rake stomp is that if it'd been a Dem we'd have a week of think pieces about how Dems lack of hoops literacy was alienating them from real America.

He is! He’s a fantastic example of how great governance can be and how it can really work to help people thrive. One of the things I love about Mamdani is his excellent communication. Every day he’s connecting with us, even people outside of NYC — always helpful, keeping people aware, sharing wins.
