Today. 25 years with this lovely lady by my side. We drank wine out of glasses we got on our very first anniversary. Wouldn’t want to do this with anyone else. ❤️❤️❤️

I started IT consulting right out of college in 97 working mostly on Peoplesoft enterprise software. When I started, people that worked for Peoplesoft’s global consulting group got the below backpack. This was late 90s early 2000s. I COVETED IT. I still kind of do. #HolyGrail ebay.io/m/xOBxth
For Haterade, I wrote about the “suicide” (or “graveyard” or “kamikaze” or whatever other brutal name you grew up calling it). haterade.substack.com/p/all-soda-y...

One of the first “cover songs that don’t work” that pops into my head is I Swear. The song isn’t great to begin with. But then both the R&B and Country versions don’t do it any favors. Plus it blew up and both versions played on the radio as nauseum.
Love their version of Stay as well! Patrick Wilson's voice especially blew my mind youtu.be/1TJ076fv4ao?...

I like cover songs. They can go sideways, sure, but I love a band or singer taking a song they love and putting their stamp on it. Been meaning to bring this up on the Lounge. What do you guys think of cover songs? What covers work? What don’t?
Ok east coast people. Kiki the wonder dog and I will be starting our domestic travels on August 10. If you would like a visit just drop me a dm.

Sometime eBay offers up extreme treasure. Like this giant 10”x13” vintage sticker book that spans late 70s to mid 80s. The kid who owned this lived by the sticker-collecting rule: “If it sticks, it goes in the book” This will be a long thread folks… 🧵
So, I’m still kind of low key mad that Mission Impossible 8-9 didn’t bring back Emilio as hacker Jack to be the villain that’s working with/for the evil AI. And don’t tell me it’s because he died. You can write around that, especially in a M:I movie.

"Do you remember what your first R-rated movie was?" I wasn't allowed to watch R-rated movies as a kid (and we didn't have HBO, so no sneaking). That means my first R-rated movie was one I had to drive myself to when I was old enough. Not a super memorable film, but it was The Star Chamber.
We got these coming at you fast & furious now! Prepare your ears for…
