I wish he had specified what he means by “wedge-issue attacks.” I’m also not sure what it means to say that Dems have been “vulnerable” to these things for 60 years. Presumably, he is suggesting that backlash politics has, on balance, harmed the Democrats.
In the USA, racists and nazis can still bully most (non-Black) people, simply by suggesting that they are in a "liberal bubble" or are "wild progressives," or hinting that they care about other people. Rather than have the confidence to say, "Those opinions are in bad faith," they fold.🤷🏿♂️

This was a great episode, but I want to lightly contradict the good doctor and blm in that ttrpg or what have you might not SAVE us, but it can in fact SUSTAIN us, and I hope these folks can feel good about that.
