See this chart? Workers’ share of the nation’s income is at the lowest it’s been since records began in 1947. Corporate profits’ share, on the other hand, is the highest it’s been since 1950. This is why we must build back worker power.

I first got the chance to learn more about Tony Mazzocchi's labor politics while researching a chapter (link in comment) on how the AFL-CIO and the International Federation of Petroleum and Chemical Workers (IFPCW) intervened in the global oil workers' movement during the Cold War.
Mazzocchi’s labor politics understood that a union could be a school, a political home and a fighting organization all at once. He imagined a labor movement “that didn’t really exist, but just might.”
I am looking forward to participating in a geopolitics webinar series on May 27th organized by the Royal Netherlands Historical Society, where I will discuss the importance of history for understanding the current war on Iran. For registration, use the link below knhg.nl/en/events/up...

Dus in tegenstelling tot eerder kan ik me niet één scenario voorstellen, zelfs als deze protesten worden neergeslagen, dat het bij het oude kan blijven.’

History in Action: #IranProtests As a scholar of revolutions, I have long emphasized their inherent unpredictability. When protests reach a critical mass, they can crystallize into a revolutionary movement in what often feels like a sudden, almost “magical” moment:
