On Project Dragon/Everhaven I had the privilege of working alongside that kind of team- one example being Michael 'Orb' Vicente, who helped set a tone of caring deeply for the smallest details of the work he made: *sculpting rocks*. To this day, they are the loveliest game rocks I've ever seen.
Have you seen some of the art for @gardens.dev's upcoming game? Yeah, it's that beautiful! 💚🌳 More info: gardens.dev/press
controversial statement; this has far less to do with engine tech and for more to do with what skills are more easily trainable in a broad population. Technical parameterized realism is one of the easiest things to systematize so the labor market for realism is much deeper with lots of documentation
my one big takeaway from this years pile of Showcases is that Unreal Engine 5 has co-opted or sort of, I dare say, polluted the visual language of games, where nothing stands out theres a kind of mediocrity that comes with being "photorealistic I guess". PBR substance everywhere, but not distinct
Sorry no spacesuits or robots or post apocalyptic warriors, but here's a sketch of a handsome onion. Hun-nion I guess. Alfresco lunchtime coloured pencil sketch.
Nightshade always puts these glitches in but that's okay. 💧Renosance Chamber💧 Vibrations from water droplets sound the 🔔. [I have more info, but I don't want to share it yet] Other bells floating around are called Ghost Bells.
It's my birthdayyy today so I'm going to ask for a cheeky lil artshare if you like my work since I'm still pretty new to the bluesky art community c: Hii I'm Marby, I'm from the UK and living in the US. I like world building and fantasy art, I'm also working on a personal game project for fun 🖤
A new painting (by me) I can share for the game we are working on here at Gardens. I still can't say much, but things are moving along smoothly and I'm excited for you all to see it when it's ready. I really appreciate all the enthusiasm everyone has shared with me about the art we've shown so far.
New Website! Some new art from the team and myself here at Gardens in the presskit, and a silly picture of me sneaking around a forest.
We're kicking off 2026 with a new website, a press kit, and a look back at the year just past which saw us running external playtests, hiking among the redwoods, and sleeping in racecar beds. Here's Gardens Interactive's 2025 Year in Review! 🐸 gardens.dev/blog/gardens...

one of my favorite activities: sitting less than two feet away from a cintiq and "just fixing one quick thing" with a mouse for about two and a half hours
Lace Platinum-class, the workhorse destroyer of the Pacific Armada (1/n)
Deer are so beautiful, aren't they? painting medium: Nicker poster colour on Arches watercolour paper
Switching to traditional media is the best decision I'v made in a long time. It feels so much nicerto paint on real paper. With brushes for scale, you can also see how tiny my work is in person.
