#FacebookIsBroken. Today my Facebook feed suggested I might want to follow both Nigel Farage and Jeremy Corbyn. 🤷♂️. TBF They are probably more closely aligned with each other that they are with my Centrist views...

Brighton, twinned with #Bielefeld. 😀
here's a very random question: why is it that Google Maps hides Brighton? attached are several screengrabs that show it displaying much smaller places but not Brighton, you have to zoom in soooo much to get it to appear, it's so weird?
One of the reasons I think Jack Polanski is unsuitable to be the futurePrime Minister. It is just not acceptable to support violence against other politicians in the UK. 🤦♂️ www.bbc.com/news/article...
Polanski says guillotine re-post was mistake but refuses to apologise
The Green leader re-posted a photo of a man wearing a guillotine t-shirt and the name Nigel.

#Genealogists - ICYMI (or In Case I Missed It ). I see Ancestry has a new Thrulines Beta coming out. Slicker presentation and a more-researched biographies of your matches line.
After 90 minutes, if the score is still 0-0 then the rules state that the winner of the 3rd place play-Off wins the World Cup by default. #FifaWorldCup 😀
I’m not watching the match #FRAENG but I’m really hoping that England don’t throw away a 4 goal lead 🤦♂️
One of my top genealogical "bucket list" wishes is to visit West Tofts. This is another village lost to the MOD during WW2 (as part of the Stanford Battle Area). Five of my ancestors are buried in St Mary's graveyard and it would be nice to pay my respects (although I doubt there are gravestones).
They locked their doors expecting to return in a few weeks. More than 80 years later, the village of Tyneham still stands empty. #Genealogy #Dorset #FamilyHistory #History #Village chiddicksfamilytree.com/2026/07/16/t...
A reminder that this is the guy we're all now supposed to be listening to on the subject of the safety of MPs
Top work from the #Penny supermarket chain’s social media team. A couple of days ago an ICE made an unscheduled stop so the driver could buy toilet paper at a local supermarket because there was none left on the train.🤦♂️🤣 and yes, their own-brand toilet paper is called “Happy End”.
He obviously doesn't want to present the World Cup after all.
New care-home goal unlocked. This is how I want to spend my final years. 😀 Care home residents toast success of bespoke gin at global awards www.thetimes.com/article/f4c6...

I realise I’m a couple of days late on this one, but for those folks like myself who missed this story earlier… #23andMe get the bill for their weak security. www.bbc.com/news/article...

there's no shame in going out at this stage of the competition and no-one has anything against the US players, it's just that this shit will not stand and as europeans we're hard-coded to take the piss
