I am glad to know that the Lab is in good hands and I look forward to seeing the outcome of its activities! It was a pleasure to conceptualize and start these activities - now it's up to @cchlebna.bsky.social to unleash its potential

Happy to say that I have been entrusted with the coordination of our Transformative Innovation Lab at ZSI following @philste.bsky.social who has unfortunately left us. Looking forward to promote the wonderful work done in the lab and to explore future opportunities together with my great colleagues

The deeper I dig into the "writting-up-the-PhD-rabbit-hole", the trashier the soundtrack becomes. From Guru's Jazzmatazz in early summer to Russian Village boys at the end of it - nobody warns of of that!

If a project partner is using a copyrighted picture in some slides that lie on our project website, an obscure German law firm will find it and charge us between 500-2.000 €. Would be interesting to do that math here :D Wont happen though - quod licet zuck non licet bovi, I guess

It is stunning to see how Meta illegally downloaded billions of pages of copyrighted books and articles from Russian pirate sites when training Llama 3. And not only that, but Meta also directly redistributed that copyrighted data to others:

My colleague Richard Woolley is hiring a PhD student! If you want to do a PhD on the relationship between research evaluation and epistemic change, as part of a great team led by Professor Jochen Gläser at Technical University Berlin, contact him at: ricwoo@upv.edu.es.

As someone who has reported on AI for 7 years and covered China tech as well, I think the biggest lesson to be drawn from DeepSeek is the huge cracks it illustrates with the current dominant paradigm of AI development. A long thread. 1/

In her key note at #reevaluation H. Spyra talks about the implementation of transformative innovation in Austria, especially in the context of the BMK, ministry of many words or ministry of magic as I just learned. Organisational change in public services as one key challenge in transforming systems
