"Inherent frugality" no dude they can just afford things that aren't made from fucking shit, because people charge more for things that aren't shit. Jesus Christ.
I sit in office chairs I can just about afford. I need a new one every few years because they gradually collapse beneath me. My wife's Herman Miller is older than my last three Staples chairs, bought by an ex-employer and sold cheap in the liquidation, and will still be intact years from now.
okay now he's gone too far
96% of my life happened before I ever heard of generative AI. Shrug.
This is incredibly upsetting. And like so many things in this administration - no real process, no responsiveness, no transparency, no clarity - I'd bet they don't even know what they're doing as they drive heavy equipment out there.

This plane landed in Myanmar about three hours ago. This is the third ICE flight to Myanmar this year. Burmese deportees in 2025 were immediately sent to a torture facility next to the airport, according to Myanmar Now. Weeks later, not all of them had emerged.
This likely ICE flight operated by Journey Aviation has taken off and appears to heading for an Asia removal. In May, this aircraft deported people to Myanmar.
Dammit. I was hopeful that since I didn’t feel worse yesterday that the scratchy feeling was fire-smoke induced. But Doom came down with a fever in the night. Just messaged his doc and my work.
Teaching doctors about smoking is a moral imperative. And without outside funding, it was a choice between taking the tobacco industry's money or doing nothing!
“Teaching educators about AI is a ‘moral imperative’, said Randi Weingarten, the AFT president.” “And without outside funding, it was a choice between taking big tech’s money or doing nothing, she said.”

Long rows of solar panels march across the desert, and underneath them, where the ground should be baked and bare, there are rows of green.
