Does anyone teach OCR #ALevelmaths and have any insight into what topics from pure would be good to revise for papers 2 and 3? I teach Edexcel, but I’m helping a friend’s daughter do some final prep for her OCR papers. Thanks!

Does anyone else do Edexcel #ALevelMaths for FM? I got a negative mass on Q9 CP1 which threw me until I realised we weren’t being asked to evaluate that variable…but surely that’s confusing? Some of my students did the same as me and spent ages rechecking the question.
In #ALevelmaths….what are people’s thoughts on the D-I table method for integration by parts that I’m increasingly seeing from students. Does it score full marks? See photo…
In #ALevelMaths Further Maths, we are addressing the eternal question of "but how was I supposed to know it was a hyperbolic substitution?" #MathsToday
Yesterday in #ALevelMaths we had lots of fun bouncing balls - calculating the coefficient of restitution and then using it to estimate the height of the room. Organised chaos! An activity picked up from the AMSP / MEI further mech course.
In #MathsToday, my FM #ALevelMaths classes got totally absorbed doing the volumes of revolution ‘CrackTheCode’ activity from @draustinmaths.com - thanks for sharing such great resources!

The #BM100 sheet has a 2026 tab now! - Not a primary source, and neither are most of its sources, WILL contain misinformation - Don't share screenshots, share the link, so people see corrections - Refresh the page manually even if it says it can do it automatically docs.google.com/spreadsheets...

Not a helpful chart, but approximately 8.5 hours in; we could see first loop finishers soon if conditions aren't too nasty #bm100
In #MathsToday we took 20 year 12 students to Maths Fest at the Royal Institute - what a brilliant and engaging day of maths fun!
I've started a "Maths lesson Bingo" with my students. Can anyone suggest some phrases for my next card to be 4*4? #alevelmaths
#ALevelMaths #Mathstoday Teaching CP1 vectors to year 12 FM -one of my favourite topics to teach, but I can never find enough practice questions to build confidence. Does anyone know where I can get a bank of questions on the shortest distances type questions (point and line, point and plane, etc)?

I made a starter pack for KS5 maths (teachers, posters, and other people involved in it) Most of the starter packs I've seen for maths teachers have been for all age groups, so this one is aimed towards sixth form (16-19 ish) Please let me know if you'd like adding (or removing)! go.bsky.app/znERv2
Also just got this email. Brilliant tasks, updated. 🫶🏻
Unexpected email from Jonny Griffiths telling me there's a new 2026 update of his RISPS book, that's great investigations for impressionable A Level students. Download it now from www.risps.co.uk with links to Geogebra and Excel files @jonny-griffiths.bsky.social
Last minute #Alevelmaths homework planning for this afternoon and just discovered these - exactly what I needed for a binomial expansion homework. Thanks Jethwa maths if you are on here! www.jethwamaths.com/pure-1---wor...

❤️ Love this ❤️ @mathforge.org has done what I’ve never been organised enough to do myself, and catalogued every #geometrypuzzle I’ve ever posted on social media. It looks amazing!
Sunday night seems the right time to post a gallery of (I hope!) every one of Catriona's geometry puzzles. notes.mathforge.org/notes/publis... Give it a moment to load ... there's a *lot* of them! #GeometryPuzzles #UKMathsChat #mathsky
Today’s Y13 starter - I really like how c & d can be solved either by changing the inequality and using the original distribution, or by transforming the distribution and using the original values. #MathsToday #ALevelMaths
Is anyone else heading to the Further Mathematics Conference in London today? I’m looking forward to a day out of college doing #ALevelMaths!

Lovely task for #ALevelMaths 😍
In #MathsToday (well the highlight of this week) A few nice tasks with my Lower Sixth FM task. This one certainly challenged them more than I thought on their rules of indices Pdf available on this page: kshancock.co.uk/aleveltasks....
Spent a slightly painful 15 minutes discussing Q2 with Y12 today. The problem wasn’t with spotting the patterns, but trying to formulate that into full sentences. If you teach #ALevelMaths, I’d be interested to know how your students get on with similar “describe and explain” tasks. #MathsToday
Good morning! Does anyone have a nice graphic of the set notation symbols, including the R, N for real numbers, natural numbers, etc - I’m sure i had something, but can’t find it! #ALevelMaths
