Mogwai are on a 30th anniversary tour, hitting festivals across Europe and the UK next month. The Scottish post-rockers recently played Fuji Rock in Japan, where guitarist Stuart Braithwaite spoke with Stereogum VJ Winter about daydreaming and pedals (which sometimes go hand in hand).

I’ve been absolutely disgusted by the concerted effort to blame Nicola Sturgeon for her husbands crimes. As someone who’s actual money was stolen for that clepto wanker to buy a camper van that he hid at his parents house, the notion that the 1st minister was complicit is preposterous.

Also, if you borrow an author's book from a library in the UK, that author gets more than 12 pence per loan in Public Lending Rights. Any author can earn up to £6,600 per year this way. That’s more than I’ve been paid by any publisher this year.

It must be so emotionally difficult if your entire thing is "Tony Blair was the best PM we ever had, you should listen to me," when the real Tony Blair keeps popping up to remind everyone he's a weird, racist freak whose only lesson for governance is "get elected before the 2008 crash."
