The U.S. Has Killed 227 Civilians in Boat Strikes During “A Year of Murders”
“The boat strikes are, perhaps, the most stark testament to the lawlessness of the Trump administration.”

I see everyone has decided not to click the video and listen to the question that was asked, which was “what is the Democratic agenda BEYOND ACCOUNTABILITY” (emphasis mine). As in, we know your candidates are promising oversight and investigations, but what are policy issues beyond that.
What @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social told me the House agenda will be next year if Democrats win —Reverse Trump’s Medicaid cuts —Extend expired ACA tax credits —Restore Congress’s authority on tariffs —“Decisively” end the Iran war Beyond that: “We’ve established five working groups on affordability”
I've seen Richy getting a ridiculous amount of hate on the other site today and it makes me incredibly sad. I think he's been treated awfully in this situation and while I recognize reasonable people may disagree, I think Spurs fans need to get a grip. He's clearly getting scapegoated by the club.
Richarlison has released a very strong statement amid Spurs' transfer talks for him with Everton. www.football.london/tottenham-ho...
Just a genuinely incredible post. Also would LOVE to know who he had just gotten off the phone with when he posted this, because he clearly does not care about data centers at all.
donald trump is actively trying to help as many democratic senators as possible get elected
In terms of people who would otherwise have lived dying there’s a case for it being the worst thing any leader has done this century, easily one of the worst, but people usually on about Amerikkka are often silent because it is something good the US was doing that stopped in the worst possible way
Objecting to the destruction of USAID is a pretty clean litmus test for being a serious person and not evil a surprising number of otherwise bad people pass this test, and a shocking number of people who pretend to care do not
That is such a blatant dive and co-comms just decided to breeze straight by it.
I think people also don’t conceptualize what that soft power was used for. I think the assumption was that it was like “give us your natural resources” (no, that’s Trump/VZ). More often, it was “we’re concerned about the new law in your parliament that would make it easier to jail journalists.”
So sure, USAID was a tool of US soft power and political influence, and also, I sometimes get the sense that people saying this don’t quite comprehend the torrent of death, horror, and pain that is currently unfolding from the genuinely evil decision to suddenly destroy it.
I'm not really sure how we extricate the US from this whole situation in a Democratic administration, but it needs to be done and a lot of people need to go to jail on our side of things. We are acting like Putinist Russia.
Like I was saying!
I think Democrats may need to start explicitly threatening the people cutting corrupt deals with the Trump Administration. In essence, you can do this, but know that the full investigative powers of the federal government are coming for you in exactly two years. And we will find something.

It was always pretty evident that Caputo was a hack (even pre-Trump), but this is just unambiguous propaganda from him and Axios.
Scoop: U.S. close to striking "massive" deal for Venezuelan oil fields
The deal would give the U.S. an ownership stake in Venezuela's oil fields and more than double American oil reserves.

I haven’t dipped a toe into this discourse because I frankly don’t think Twitch streamers are worth talking about, but the explosion of the Influencer Industrial Complex in politics has been a complete disaster on both sides of the aisle. These people should not be threatening US Senators.
This is a machine to ethnically cleanse the country - and anyone who pretends otherwise is kidding themselves
Kudos to the Tottenham Hotspur stadium staff for blasting 9 to 5 going into halftime. 🤍🤍🤍
utterly disgusting behavior by the Brooklyn Dems and Rodneyse an autogolpe tonight, the precise form of coup that Trump tried to execute on January 6
Report from Brooklyn Democratic Party exec committee meeting is that Rodneyse Bichotte Hermelyn's anti-democratic power grab has passed by 21-19 vote (1 abstention, 1 no-show) *All 8 District Leaders who lost in June voted yes*

How Dolly Parton Gave $12.5 Million And Unprecedented Research To Sevier County

Possibly the best human being in the history of Tennessee.
man, celebrity deaths don't usually affect me, but Dolly was as good a person as this country's ever made
All I can say is aspire to live your life, and to treat other people, like Dolly did. One of our greatest Americans, greatest musicians, and greatest philanthropists.
Still curious about why the whole Hondurasgate scandal never made it into American papers (beyond Washington Monthly IIRC), especially after Petro just got voted out in Colombia. Presumably for lack of proof, but it got into El Pais! And then you read about this and the mysterious boat attacks...
The Pentagon has been promising more military operations on land in Latin America and building and hyping its counter cartel coalition. This past week in Ecuador gave a glimpse into what the plan looks like. New from me @taskandpurpose.com taskandpurpose.com/news/us-ecua...

I'm going to keep saying this, but we have to stop this stuff now before there's broader adoption by the greater chud population. I don't think the human mind can really deal with living in a panopticon that's being run by their most mean-spirited neighbors (and owned by technofascists).

Roath has an impressive resume and platform, but my reasoning will have a more familiar ring to AJQ readers.
