In the mid-20th century, auto and oil interests bought up electric streetcar systems across the US and systematically replaced them with bus routes and paved roads, funneling commuters toward private cars.

Horrible day. ICE is preparing a deportation flight to Laos so some of my former, current, and were-to-be clients are being brought to the Whipple Building and shipped off to Louisiana for final removal. Lots of calls from them, their families, and friends. So much pain visited on our community

The Count Binface stuff happening in the U.K. is a real good bit. Hope everybody subjects themselves to British politics long enough to look it up. The British version of Trump really will be spending the summer fighting with a sentient trashcan.

Minneapolis celebrates spring with a parade of giant handmade socialist puppets and a festival where people row the sun across the lake. This year's Mayday festival was today, and I'm going to try to share some photos and videos (many taken by others) to try to explain it for my non-local friends.

Yesterday at 4pm, I got a text from a family I’ve been helping who had a loved one abducted a couple of days after Renée Good’s murder. This was the family that Norm Nation kept from being evicted (and you delivered). ICE had released their loved one.
