At 21:20, Typhoon Noul 紅霞 was packing 140 kph winds and moving fast, and in this HKO radar 2-hour timelapse (19:18-21:12), we can see how close it is to Hong Kong already. At this rate, Noul will make landfall east of Hong Kong between midnight and sunrise. Stay safe, HKers!

Even it means you might end up getting arrested and imprisoned for committing a crime for reading said book that was not banned when you bought and read it... (Note: this is an actual possibility for people here in Hong Kong.)

Also… I’ve explained this before.. but for those of you who are new. Why do I care about Hong Kong… among so many other injustices in the world? I used to travel there a lot for work in the early aughts and to see its rights of a civil society slowly drain away is really really hard.
