Luckily, I felt like Starmer trained me to handle disillusion in Labour, so when Burnham came along I could already feel the "new boss, same as the old boss" vibe. As far as electoral politics go, for me, it's the @greenparty.org.uk or bust — not sure anyone else can be trusted!

Our rapid disillusionment with political leaders is treated by much of the media as some kind of pathology. But what I see is these leaders backtracking on their promises, dashing people's hopes and serving the ultra-rich ahead of the rest of the population. Why wouldn't we be disillusioned?

Techbros seem to love Tolkien, so here's an analogy to help you understand what genAI is. GenAI is The One Ring. You think your use is justified, b/c you don't have evil in your heart. But it came from evil, it is intended for evil purpose, & anything you do with it will be twisted to that end.

Some person quoted me saying gray morality leads to fascism bc right and wrong are blurred and ppl get sympathetic for the bad guys???? Gray morality in fiction encourages critical thinking. Believing everything is either Good or Evil is how you get ppl enforcing censorship and thought crimes shit.

Seen from abroad it's hard to make sense of what happened to Starmer. Big majority, centrist, fairly united party, no obvious blunders -- and somehow it went off the rail in just a few years. Political scientists will have their work cut out on this one.
