These plates and screw nails were removed from a patient who had sustained a fracture to their tibia 50 years prior. They were taken out because an abscess cavity had developed which contained these plates and screws that had become loose.

24th July — my grandmother's birthday today — the #artist who gave me my values, and the desire to keep searching for new images and new goals instead of settling for what's already been found. We spent summers together, rented a countryside house, and she painted and drew a lot. Thank you ☀️
