You have to pay attention to the American history and practice of abusing and exploiting Black people, if not out of appreciation for shared humanity, then because the shit always breaks containment to scale up said abuse and exploitation by folding in other disfavored groups for even more profit.
The street is dead quiet tonight in my part of NYC for the first time in weeks. No giant screens. Everyone has gone home. Thank god it’s over.
