The Atmosphere needs more drawbridges. - Meet folks where they are, don't make them migrate - Augment their environments in useful ways - Make it easy to make them publish to the Atmosphere.

memories of my x220 fan taking off on zoom or if too many tabs open, etc, a more perfect computer has never existed, etc... from this: Un vélo électrique pour l'esprit / an electric bike for the mind by Martin Lafréchoux digital: ebike.nologos.net digital zine: oliverbates.itch.io/ict4s2026zines
This looks good but the "View publication" button stands out more than the blue primary buttons on the app, which throws me off while I'm scrolling the feed. I think a lighter or muted variant could be more subtle
It's official, @bsky.app has integrated @standard.site into the app! This means posts from @pckt.blog, @offprint.app, and @leaflet.pub get a richer treatment in the app. More details about how this works on the atproto blog: atproto.com/blog/standar...
Worked on Soma this week, a fun little experiment for @semble.so. Visualize your cards, see how much you have in common with others, and get a fingerprint of how you collect (volume, velocity, diversity, focus)

In modern computing, the split isn’t between power users and regular users. Increasingly, you’re either a power user or a disenfranchised user.
Created this collection today for *handpicked*, algorithm-free music. Go ahead and add whatever you’re listening to 💫 Already dropped a bunch from @bandcamp.com, @plyr.fm and youtube

My take on the "explaining atproto" discourse is that all the UX/filesystem/etc metaphors are still very verbose and that you can explain the same idea in a lot less words: It separates data from apps, so any app can use data from any other app. That fits in a tweet, with other sentences around it.
Semble search is now live, adding a powerful discovery layer to Semble! Check it out at semble.so/search Here’s what makes it different >
Stoked to launch the first @aetheros.computer app from our docs suite today! PitchDeck is an atproto app that lets you create presentations and share them on the web or in person. It includes a presenter mode with keyboard/swipe support, a synced laser pointer, speaker notes and a built-in timer.
I think we underestimate the power of user interfaces (and thus apps) and how such power is concentrated in the hands of the few who are able to produce such interfaces.
