sometimes fantasy authors come up with the concept "there are things older than history and prehistory.. otherworldly things the human mind cant comprehend" and for Lovecraft that means "monster so freaky it drives you insane" and for Tolkien it means "some guy named Tom with an extremely fine wife"

You ever have an idea for a joke that you can't really commit to because it's in too poor taste and would really require artistic skills you don't possess, and also it hinges on an in-joke about something that keeps happening in a 35 year old video game? Well I still needed to get it out of my head.
