Wormald was singled out by the Covid Inquiry for having 'obscured reality' during the pandemic. He was at the heart of the failures that cost the lives of our loved ones. Why has he been rewarded for that failure?

My Dad was a London bus driver who contracted Covid and died, because he had no PPE or modifications on his bus. So it breaks my heart to have it confirmed that £10bn was wasted on PPE that was not fit for purpose. How many deaths could have been avoided had the Conservatives used proper channels.

For me, Starmer's greatest achievement will always be taking a Labour party rotten with antisemitism (which many people seem to have either forgotten or found it in their interests to deny, despite the EHRC ruling) and transforming it into a serious political party again. I thank him for that.
