I read a lot, and I have a lot of tropical plants.
Yay it rained heavily and got a lot of the smoke particles out of the air! Boo poor Thelma was sleeping under the giant lilac shrub when it rained.
It is quite understandable, my friend, if at this point you are feeling burnt out from trying to stay safe in the face of all these public health crises, but please, my friend, do keep taking care for these crises have not yet finished burning through us.
Alongside a video of a man in a headstand pose, the WHO recommended doing yoga to stay grounded, and while I know it seems that the world has turned upside down, I regret to inform you, that turning yourself upside down does not turn the world right side up.
A friend called to see if I had plans in case I lose power, so I told her I lost any power I had a long time ago and ever since I’ve been running on anger, fear, and hope, to which she responded she meant losing power in the storm, so I said: I also have a flashlight.
When you see the story about how the world now has its first trillionaire, and when you see the story about how laboratories in Congo have run out of supplies to test for Ebola, it is important to understand that in many ways these are the same story.
Making new friends at the greenhouse again. This lovely black swallowtail was sitting on our wisteria but was willing to hang out in my thumb for several minutes. 🥰
Huzzah, happy bees snuggling into snapdragon blooms! My favorite part is the backwards shimmy out of the flower.
Cat break! Last fall a scrawny young tabby showed up at the greenhouse and informed us it was her home now. Now she lives her best life eating all the food and getting all the pets.
I should do a giveaway here too! I'll randomly select someone who retweets this to receive a signed copy of Daughter of Crows 🙂
Cute cat, for those that need one today. This is Thelma, my bestest bebe.
No, _you_ just googled "patented caterpillar inflator" while reading. Thanks, @tkingfisher.com
We actually opened last month but here's some pics of my happy place, the greenhouse. Naturally featuring bestest bebe Thelma.
Transphobia isn't okay, even if you like books and shows about boy wizards.
I just finished listening to The Butcher of the Forest by @premeemohamed.com and it was so lovely and so CREEPY and I wish it hadn't ended.
Time to get cultured! Attending Les Mis tonight with my aunt and one of my kids.
Chirp has the graphic audio versions of @cheriepriest.com's Clockwork Century on sale for like $3 each right now. That's a great deal on some great steampunk! www.chirpbooks.com/audiobooks/b...

This is probably my last Sunday in the greenhouse for the season, but I'm getting some quality time with my girl Thelma.
"Quiet Piggy" should be every woman's response now to toxic men. Democrat women's response on everything he says. Make it the new okay boomer and stop being weird, creepy campaign. Make them insane with it.
Just so we are clear. There is nothing wrong with being trans or autistic. Don't give an inch on that
In honor of @scalzi.com's visit to our warehouse today, our fabulous production editor did a little photo shoot with two of her pet mice, Ivy and Nettle. We feel it's only right to give away a signed copy of WHEN THE MOON HITS YOUR EYE. Follow and reshares to enter! Int'l, ends 9-14 at noon ET!
We spotted a lovely black swallowtail (Papilio polyxenes) warming up on a mum this morning.
Greenhouse cat Thelma got into something while I was getting her a bowl of food from the office. She was very good about letting me scritch her head to clean it off though
You know that feeling when you've found your people? I love my coworkers. Best display ever.
