my neighborhood 7-11 closed a couple years ago and tried to reopen but couldn’t get the permit approved because there’s a preschool next door and 7-11s sell alcohol (the previous permit was grandfathered in). i saw a fence going up around the lot recently and looked up what was moving in: a gun shop
Today I saw a foot cut open by a chainsaw, a split scalp, and a horde of regular old sick and injured folks, barely a break. Life hard :( Then I got home, made an awesome dinner, got to see good friends, make a marshmallow, play games all night, and got a kiss goodnight from my man. Life good :)

New job secured! I don't think I can or want to say too many specifics about it for legal and security reasons, but its a step up from what I was doing for sure! :D Going to be my first full time job in a true hospital setting, nervous but excited! Just have to get through the onboarding first!

Just a last pic of the city before having went home. Spending the weekend in Manhattan was something. I’ve been so many times; maybe at least 10-20 days out of every year? But never before had I stayed there overnight. Really appreciative to my friends for that experience <3
Made a nice big omelette and a London fog tea ☕️ The vibes are so nice today! That pleasent sleepy post a swim with my partner and a friend. Memories of last night in the back of the mind. Awaiting a phone call about a new job and wedding plans. Little moments like this make the journey here worth it
