Make something up for me. Something cool, not something lame. #chiefskingdom #exmo

MAGA dad was ranting about this. Asked why he cares. He said it hurts “real” female athletes I told him since the WNBA started (96’), he’s been telling me women’s sports are dumb & joking about female athletes His response: “it’s not natural” He doesn’t & never will care about women’s sports

WNBA (the org) courted this. They could have nipped this in the bud, but instead they placated anti-trans activists, so now bigots have glomed onto them. If you don't tell them their opinions are vile and are unwelcome, they will destroy you or leech on you forever. just ask amnesty international

At this point those who support Trump or his policies tacitly support pedophilia, abuse, trafficking, & rape. Even my parents, in-laws, siblings…? Yes. We have Epstein, the Tates, Trump’s own history etc…, if you still support him you support/the sexual abuse & exploitation of women & children.

This New York Times article, which ran a week before Christmas last year, didn’t get the attention it deserved. It detailed Trump and Epstein's predatory behavior toward women – “a game of ego and dominance” in which “female bodies were currency.” Here’s a gift link and a thread. 1/6🧵

I think the tech oligarchs of today think the power & notoriety they attain will give them historical immortality, but I suspect in 100 years they’ll be obscure footnotes mentioned passingly in online threads like these oligarchs of the past. The arc of history is long and indifferent.

these monopolies were hilariously corrupt as well, and they had few friends. henry huntington (of LA's red cars), or charles yerkes (of the chicago eleveated) were as detested as bezos and zuckerberg were today. 4/

zombie movie where one of the survivors is the pope. it's not a plot point, there's just like a doctor, a lawyer, etc holed up in a building and also one of the guys is the pope. the other people aren't catholic so it doesn't really matter that he's the pope. but he is, and he's wearing the hat

One thing I think is missing from the discourse re: taxing billionaires is who is benefiting from the taxes paid? Nobody benefits more from infrastructure investment than Jeff Bezos. He has thousands of delivery trucks reliant upon the U.S. interstate highway system to deliver goods to customers. 1/
