Vee (PurposeUnknown)@purposeunknown.xyz · 3d agoI've had or shared ownership of 10 cats in my lifetime so far - of those, 2 are now gone, 1 of which I had to put down myself, and others had close calls. I should have steel nerves at this point. And yet, nothing compares to our sweet boy. I gotta believe he'll be ok.
People do not, in my experience, stop doing a bad thing unless you give them a clean out into doing a good thing instead. So I choose not to hold grudges or grind axes, and to instead commend people for doing the right thing.

I think its deeply weird to make up and use a slur for robots, and it doesnt really matter if they are "conscious". If they are its bad for the obvious reasons, if not then its still just cringe to revel in mock cruelty.
