Reading The Subtle Knife, and I was inclined to say the portrayal of scientists was unrealistic, but the part where they've discovered there are interdimensional travelers, that the universe is conscious, and the government is spying on them, and they're STILL talking grant funding is perfect.
Michael Lewis's book The Fifth Risk is all about how the modern federal government was set up to reduce & eliminate a vast array of invisible problems, which it has done so well that it opened a door to wreckers who claim it did nothing, & are now making that lie true—with disastrous results

Listening in to the live Artemis II feed. I love the way they talk about everything (jargon, acronyms, plaing English) . Like a bit ago, an astronaut was talking emotionally about how beautiful the views were of the approaching moon, and Houston's CapCom person responded plainly “Copy. Moon joy.”

Some quantum info researchers are reluctant to learn about non-CPTP maps, but are ultimately left with no Chois.
A few quick notes: 1) Magic - not my favorite word choice - comes from magic angle directions and into quantum computing by arxiv.org/abs/quant-ph... . It is not about entanglement.

Living in the Future benefit: the combination of Google Maps public transit directions and phone-tap onboard payment makes it SO EASY to take public trams/buses/metros when traveling now.
