Hope everyone is ready for the race tomorrow! We spent the afternoon making signs to hand out during the race, make sure you arrive early if you want one! We'll start with a pre-race rally promptly at 5 but the race won't start until 5:20 in case you are running late.

We have a lot of things in Seattle that have been in planning for two decades. The Denny bus lanes were not one of them. Before January they were deemed impossible, and were planned and executed in eight months.

Thought the wins for Route 8 were over now that bus lanes are in? Think again! The new westbound bus stop at Denny / Stewart is now open! 50 additional weekly bus trips also start this week thanks to the Seattle Transit Measure! Let's see if it can keep this streak going with a win at Race the 8!

Our purpose in life is to do what we can to make life easier and better for each other. Today, thanks to the leadership of @mayor.seattle.gov, we’ve done exactly that for the traveling public in Seattle. What an honor to be a part of it.
Mayor Wilson managed, in the first year of her term, to do something that has eluded 30 years of previous mayors. I’m 50. The eastbound 8 has been delayed along Denny during rush hour during my entire adult life. Not anymore.
