Joel S.@joelhs.bsky.social · 1h agoBen Shapiro probably does not know enough history to even know this, but the way he is talking about Muslims as a nation within the nation who can never be integrated is almost verbatim what European nationalists said about Jews in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
Gonna go out on a limb here and say racist cranks who write for extremist white nationalist websites like VDARE should not, in fact, be confirmed to top roles in the Department of Justice.

I only now realized that when I searched for the cover image of White Flight earlier, it pulled up this image drawn from one of the blurbs for the book. The words are from the amazing southern historian Dan Carter. But the image is of the amazing New Zealand rugby star Dan Carter.
Kevin is not exaggerating, VDARE was not white nationalist in the sense of "well if you get right down to it the modern GOP has always been white nationalist" VDARE was white nationalist in the sense of "yeah those Nazis sure are white nationalist"

If you're not terminally online, you might not recognize VDARE, but trust me: VDARE is blatant, overt, not even remotely hiding it white supremacist stuff.

I’ve voted for moderate Dems my whole life. Minimum wage hasn’t increased in decades, healthcare and housing are more unaffordable than ever and the top .001% are wealthier and more powerful than ever. Americans can’t afford the status quo anymore.
