I have been really taken aback to see both men and women air conspiracy theories, excuses, victim-blaming, denials, strategic distortions of the facts, and everything else to hang onto their attachment to this guy credibly accused of rape...
I am so fucking tired of woman having to stand on a national stage and tear their hearts open and pour their trauma out in front of the entire country. And still not be believed. Or be told it doesn’t matter because we need her assaulter. I’m so tired of it.
There should be a movie called “all cats are big now” where all cats are suddenly 10 feet tall and hunting their owners and Patrick Wilson is a scientist looking at a screen and it shows a graph of cats being small and then big with an arrow pointing at big and he takes off his glasses dramatically

Right now, it seems like the vast majority of people in leadership positions fucking hate the people, the actual humans, they are supposed to be leading, if they even think of them as people. They want to be leaders of wallets.
I've always found the Met Gala to be ridiculous, the epitome of wealthy indulgence and willful blindness while the world burns. But, of course, it's more than that. 👇

I'm so tired of watching our cultures be romanticized because we're under attack. "Palestinians are so strong!" "Iranians are so smart!" "Cubans are so kind!" Blocking humanitarian needs is bad! Bombing schools and hospitals is bad! IT DOES NOT MATTER IF WE FIT YOUR DEFINITION OF GOOD PEOPLE.
I know that I sound like a broken record but I think once this society was ok with accepting mass covid deaths just to be able to eat at Applebees then all bets were off.

My friend lives in Roxbury NJ where ICE is trying to buy a warehouse to convert into a detention center and she says they’re trying to fight it. Apparently many of the people fighting are Trump supporters who voted for deportations but are worried the concentration camp will ruin property values.
Everybody should watch this and see this woman, who has a baby in her arms and is thrust into basically a standoff, develop courage in real time.
