Mutual aid alert. Siobhán Kirchstein, whom I've known for many years, is a trans woman who works as a janitor at KU and has been targeted for using a bathroom. Her case has been profiled in many venues, including by M. Gessen at the NYT. I've talked to her at length recently.

When you want to write, "The AI wants to hurt people," remember that you mean to write, "The AI company profits off of hurting people."

Worrying scenes in the Channel today, for all interested in asylum policy and maritime tactics. A small boat from Normandy spent more than 30 hours at sea. Those on board now on their 2nd rescue vessel as Border Force forced to play cat and mouse with far-right activists who have their own boat.
