There needs to be an axiom called Younger's law: if you're a parent who runs to Christian nationalist orgs or Fox News to claim you weren't abusive to your trans kid after the state took them away, you are in fact abusive by virtue of nationalizing the story for propaganda.
clearly he thinks this is cool and rebellious somehow. it makes him into an oppressed category, boldly claiming his membership alongside all his other Crusader tattoos. it's similar to Dan Fishback and the other Nazis calling themselves "goyim." i'm sure there's more to say but that's all I got

that's a thought that occurred to me too. capitalism didn't just eat the world, it also ate itself. private sector entities became less efficient and less capable at doing anything. instead of hyper-intelligent ais and luxury resort space stations we got hallucinating chatbots and exploding rockets

(TWOK is such a good movie in part because it’s of two minds about the Kobayashi Maru: It, and Kirk himself, see Kirk cheating it as avoiding an important life lesson about facing death, but also it’s clearly a movie about how Kirk’s cleverness in the face of doom is fundamental to him truly living)
