Writer, beauty queen, haver of takes. "A tiny man" - John Cleese

Man, what a day to come back to this place. Andy Burnham by-election day. You can't fucking move for people "taking the temperature in Westminster". Anyone seen some nice bums in the world cup

Hello everybody, this is still me but I'm having to change privacy settings on everything. Bluesky can't be private??! I may in time have to delete this if I can't make it work like this.

Outrage over Gaza is doused and ignored; outrage over immigration is stoked and naturalised. This is a political choice, and it is one that is being made by the people in the government who are paid money by the taxpayer to manage these sorts of things.

Really makes me laugh, every time, to see that lad in his pants at every curtain call. Can anybody tell me if somebody involved in decision-making in this production of Evita is by any chance a colossal faggot

Very happy for everyone who's excited to see Oasis live, but I'm quite baffled by anybody out there pretending or thinking that Oasis were *good*. What's happening there

Avril Lavigne: "He was a boy, she was a girl, can I make it any more obvious?" My children (every single time): "Yes, I think in 2025 we're going to need a lot more information actually, nothing about that is obvious, it could mean anything at all, you might as well say..." [cont. ad infinitum]

Here are some things I overheard this morning as I was having a terrible day, which cheered me up: [woman on phone] "I definitely told her to fuck off" [woman in shop (singing)] "You're gonna love me" [young man] "It's my first whip but I'm trying to stay humble"

Still slightly feeling from the moment on Monday when my 7yo went, "Caspar, would you like a free plane ticket?" (Me: "Y... yes, I suppose so!") 7yo: "Then you should join Nectar. Nectar has just got together with British Airways to give their customers free tickets"

A man and a woman each sitting with one of their young kids on this bus, across the middle aisle from one another, just SCREAMED at the kids not to talk over them. Guys... sit the kids together and let them talk to each other? I agree they're boring and annoying but the solution is right there

Really funny that you get people moaning about wokeness in various TV programmes when every week on Sewing Bee someone called Fy repurposes their mother's wedding dress as a sex-club inspired suffragette outfit for save-the-environment week

Interesting. I think what this demonstrates is that you can make great and popular art about, or as an expression of, grief/loss/existential bemusement, but it won’t necessarily help YOU with those things.

The kids just tried to make me play a pretend game based on a videogame they play and fuck my life it was so boring, they had to buy made-up shit from me with made-up currency, stuff like super-powered strawberries or whatever, never been so bored in all my life
