It's kind of stunning how quickly mainstream rhetoric in the US went from "Israel is the greatest ally to the US ever" to "Mossad is running global pedophile rings," without enough of a stop at "Israel is an ethnonationalist country doing normal but very bad ethnonationalism" in between.
I can read to the end of the sentence and note that having a gay guy do the war crimes is not actual progress and that focusing on it is a distraction from more important things.

Having mandatory national service as part of your platform would be insane. Your opponent would just run endless attack ads saying that you want to enslave peoples' children. (Also, it's stupid and evil as a policy)

Amusingly, this is super easy to avoid: the ICC only has jurisdiction if your own country refuses to deal with the issue. So start tossing all these people in jail in the US and your nightmare can be preempted.
