The Seattle City Council just voted 6-3 to approve Joy Hollingsworth's amendment to delay universal school lunches for kids, replacing them with vouchers for qualifying low-income parents to buy groceries over school breaks and weekends. Eddie Lin, Alexis Mercedes Rinck, and Rob Saka voted no.

This is 100% the fault of the racist Netanyahu government. Not the mayor of New York, or any other city. The Jewish world is facing a moral crisis, and our institutional leaders are hell-bent on focusing our attention everywhere else but where it belongs.

regular reminder: most of the USAID/DOGE deaths you're seeing in the news haven't happened yet. they are still preventable. to do that, the emergency must be at the top of the list when democrats take power—even as critical domestic issues flood the calendar, and even if there's no trifecta (yet).
